In this model, the customer outsources a specific project that needs completion. This begins with the customer preparing all necessary project-related materials. The customer then engages Analytics World to deliver the project. At the completion of the project, the engagement ends.
This is an appropriate model to choose if you have a project lasting 3 months or more and do not have a consistent forecast beyond the initial project.
An essential ingredient of process maturity required for this option is the ability of the client to measure performance of the process once it has been transferred.
The outsourcing company takes complete responsibility and accountability for carrying out the business process. The company makes quality measurements on process outcomes, but is not involved directly in carrying out or directly managing the process itself.
Process
1. The client will provide a detailed specification document to Analytics world.
2. Analytics world along with the client will review the specifications and ensure that all assumptions, details are made explicit.
3. Analytics world will prepare an effort analysis and propose a fixed price and fixed time frame for the project execution. Analytics world also will highlight the scope of change and possible risks during the execution phase.
4. The Client and Analytics world will enter to in an agreement that covers visual aspects, documentation, application design, testing, support period, change management, communication protocols, milestones, timelines and commercial details. The project is executed as per the agreement.
